Every Chamber of Commerce in Palm Beach County (and Which One Fits Your Business)
A chamber of commerce is one of the fastest ways for a small business to get known locally. You meet other owners, swap referrals, find speaking and sponsorship spots, and usually get a listing in the chamber's member directory. That directory link also tells Google you're a real, established local business.
The catch? Palm Beach County has a lot of chambers. Here's a friendly guide to the main ones, north to south, and how to pick the right fit.
The chambers, north to south
Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce serves the towns of northern Palm Beach County, including Jupiter, Juno Beach, Tequesta, North Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens. A great fit for businesses serving the north county.
Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches is based in West Palm Beach and serves the central county. A good fit for West Palm and county-wide businesses.
Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce covers the Town of Palm Beach, on the island. A natural fit for luxury, retail and hospitality businesses there.
Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce serves the central and western part of the county. Worth a look for family, equestrian and western-community businesses.
Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce is the go-to for restaurants, retail and services in Delray Beach.
Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce serves Boca Raton and the south county.
There are also county-wide chambers focused on specific communities, including the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County and the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County. Many cities have their own smaller chambers too, so check yours.
How to choose
Join where your customers are, not just where your office is. A Jupiter business that serves all of north county belongs where north county owners gather.
Visit before you join. Most chambers welcome guests at a networking event or two.
Look at the calendar. Pick the chamber whose events you'll actually go to: breakfasts, after-hours mixers, lunch-and-learns.
Check what's included: directory listing, ribbon cutting, newsletter features and event discounts.
Get your money's worth
Joining is the easy part. The owners who get the most out of a chamber:
Show up consistently. Same events, same faces, month after month.
Volunteer for a committee. It's the fastest way to go from "new member" to "the person everyone knows."
Offer to teach. A 20-minute talk at a lunch-and-learn puts you in front of a room of potential clients.
Fill out your directory profile completely, with a link to your website.
Turn it into content. Post about the events you attend, tag the chamber and the people you meet, and share your ribbon cutting.
